The Founder, Jim Heebner, has been working locally, directing tennis and sports camps for the last 24 years. Formerly, he taught physical education at Trinity School for 7 years. The first programs started in 1991 in the city of Menlo Park and was formally established as "Sports 4 Kids" in 1996. Currently, Jim is the director of Sports and Fun after school programs, and tennis instructor for the Menlo Park Recreation Department. Our Philosophy is to develop a variety of skills through sports, activities, and different challenges. Sports and Fun four mottos are: Teach skills keep the kids in motion make it fun keep them safe. One of our goals is for Sports and Fun to provide an encouraging environment where kids feel good about themselves.
